About

The Biotron facility is a new interdisciplinary, experimental climate change research facility that is unique in Canada and will lead the way in biological research on an international scale. Opening in 2007 on the campus of The University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, the Biotron is a result of a partnership between Western, the University of Guelph and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Research outcomes will clarify the impact of climate change and other environmental stressors on plants, insects, and microorganisms.
