In high school you get PD days, little-known holidays off, and a multitude of other reasons to have a long weekend. In fact, long weekends start to become something you take for granted. Unfortunately 3 day weekends are a little harder to come by in University. We actually only get 1 of these a year. And this weekend was it.
Trains get booked weeks ahead, and the 401 becomes immovable, but it's all worth it for those 3 days off. It's always been interesting to see where all us Out-of-province students end up for the weekend. Some make the trek all the way back to home and some stay back here, but luckily I have some family just a short train ride away.
But after 3 days of sleeping, feasting and giving thanks, we all head back to campus, with leftover in tow, well rested and ready for another few months before Christmas. To all of you still in High School, appreciate those weekends, because once you become an undergrad, they get a lot harder to come by.
