CatIQ is planning for our annual conference (CatIQ’s Canadian Catastrophe Conference – C4 2018) which is set to take place January 31-February 2, 2018 in Gatineau-Ottawa, Quebec.
The aim of the conference is to bring together industry, academia and government to discuss Canadian Natural and Man-Made Catastrophes. More information about the conference including the full program can be found at www.catiq.com/c4.
In order to provide networking and presentation experience to students we are offering 3 opportunities for students to become Student Delegates. We hope to interest students involved in or who have conducted research relating to the following topics: Climate Change, Adaptation, Resiliency, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Emergency Management, Engineering, Meteorology, Hydrology, Earth Science, Seismology, Risk Management, Geography, Socio-economics and other fields related to Catastrophes.
Student delegate opportunities include: full conference registration, three-minute thesis presentation, as well as display space during the cocktail for further discussion and/or poster session. Please find attached the Call for Submission. Deadline for submission is November 30, 2017.
Additionally, we would welcome any members of Academia (Faculty, Professors, Students) working in fields or researching issues related to catastrophes or resilience from disasters, and as such have offered a special academic rate. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the Academic Promo-Code.
