Kimberly Hooper - Sandman

About Kimberly Hooper:

I am singing the role of Sandman in the Friday night and Saturday afternoon shows.

Sandman is a messenger of God and a very quirky character.  She enters towards the end of the opera to deliver God's message to the divas, which may or may not be helpful.  She is sweet, but look out because she has bite!

Amy Waller - Madame Pompous

My name is Amy Waller and I am playing the role of Madame Pompous. She is a character based on the Wagner opera singer with stereotypes resembling Brunhilda and Valkurie Women of the Ring Cycle.

She wears a full leather chest plate and a helmut with horns. She has a vicious spear fight with the angel Gabriel while singing Yo Ho Yo Ho To Ho, her menacing battle cry. Madame Pompous only wishes she can sing the high coloratura passages of Mrs. Titmouse.

These two women are in constant battle with each other. By the end of the first act Madame Pompous has found the spirit and is released of her hard edged demeanour and rejoices in a lively gospel number.

Madame Pompous has a mean high kick, tango and enjoys a good conga line.
