As a fourth year student, some advice that I can offer you would be to get to know people in your program, both students and faculty members. Many of the students that you will be spending the next four years with, for both work and leisure, are those sitting next to you in your courses, living in the same residence, or studying at the same library. Don’t be shy and just say hi! You will be surprised by how easy it is to meet new people and your undergraduate degree will be a much more positive experience if you have a strong support group.
Also, do not be afraid to talk to your professors and teaching assistants (TAs), as they are an exceptional resource. They can play a key role in assisting you as you pursue your academic careers, offer opportunities to pursue a field of interest, and are genuinely interested in getting to know you.
