Off To Calgary WE Go!

Well it’s just about 5:30am and the Western Engineering Toboggan Team has started to arrive at the London International Airport. Everyone is very tired but no one is complaining and we are all smiling, this is the moment we've all been waiting for, GNCTR 2012!

This year there are 19 schools from across Canada competing in categories including Technical Design, Race Day Performance, School Spirit and several corporate awards such as the CIRCA - Best Use of Fly Ash, and Holcim Sustainable Toboggan Award. We are all very excited to see how are hard work and dedication over the past months will pay off at this years Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race.

The weather forecast for the week looks promising with lots of sunshine and fresh snow for Race Day at Canada Olympic Park. Well were getting close to 7:00am, which means that it is almost time for our flight to depart, so its off to Calgary we go!
