Could mutton-chopped Isaac Hellmuth have ever imagined a Twitter-based trivia contest celebrating The University of Western Ontario which he helped found in 1878?
Imagined or not, we’re having one.
Founder’s Day is March 7 and “we’re celebrating,” in the words of Western’s senior web designer Mathew Hoy.
“We've been revealing special Founder's Day facts on Twitter and Facebook three times a day, every day this past week. We're really happy with the feedback we've got so far, but want to try to kick it up a notch.”
So a Founder's Day prize has been added to the mix.
Watch Twitter and/or Facebook today for Founder's Day facts and a trivia question. When you see it, ‘shout out’ an answer on Twitter or Facebook (one entry per person). Organizers will take all correct answers and draw for a winner.
Submit answers by midnight, March 7. Watch for the name of the winner on Facebook and Twitter at 12:00 p.m. on March 8.
