Open to graduate students from any program!
Tell us about an environmental issue you are passionate about and you could win $1000! Western’s Faculty of Science and the Centre of Environment and Sustainability have teamed up with local augmented reality specialists, EXAR studios, to create the Augmented Good Competition. This is an opportunity for any and all Western students (graduate or undergraduate) to help spread awareness about environmental issues by creating unique augmented reality stories (see competition guidelines HERE).
On your own, or as a member of a team:
- Come up with an idea for how we can use augmented reality to convey an important environmental message in an engaging new way
- Complete a short two-minute video detailing your idea (no need for anything fancy, sitting at your desk is fine!)
- Submit your application at https://engage.art/augmentedgood by February 22, 2021 (extended deadline) and you could win $1,000.
No technical expertise is required, we are just looking for great ideas! EXAR studios will work with the winner to transform your idea into an immersive AR experience right here on Western’s campus using their Engage Art App!
Please contact the contest coordinator, Dr. Paul Mensink (paul.mensink@uwo.ca), if you have any questions or visit https://engage.art/augmentedgood for more information.
