WORLDiscoveries in partnership with Western’s Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, is very pleased to announce that applications for our Fall 2022 cohort of Graduate Student Innovation Scholars will be open from June 7 – July 10. There are spots available for the upcoming cohort and interviews will take place in late July.
What is the GSIS Program?
The GSIS program teaches entrepreneurship skills and the process surrounding bringing innovations to market by providing training on intellectual property, patent searching, commercialization, knowledge transfer, business planning, and effective communication strategies. Scholars will attend a series of lectures, group discussions, workshops, and receive hands-on experiential learning that culminate in creating and presenting a business plan.
The Fall 2022 program will begin September 8 and end December 6, 2022.

Who is eligible to apply?
- Current Western graduate students.
- Experience in translational research, commercialization or entrepreneurship is an asset.
