Prepare for winter weather
Proper clothing, particularly footwear, is essential for pedestrian travel during the cold weather. Even cleared and salted pathways can be slick at this time of year. It is recommended that members of the campus community follow the current outdoor conditions and prepare their trips to and from their building accordingly.
Report slippery and inaccessible areas
The campus community can report slippery and inaccessible areas by calling Facilities Management (FM) Client Services, ext. 83304 or emailing [email protected] with the following details:
- The full name of the building
- The exit/entrance number (located above the door frame) or a complete description of the location if an exit/entrance number is unknown
- A description and nature of the hazard
- A picture, if/when possible
During heavy snowfall, keeping up with demand will require focus on priority areas and may result in some areas being left until the precipitation subsides.
