CCA 2022 Internship Program | Applications now accepted
The Council of Canadian Academies (CCA) is now accepting applications for its 2022 Internship Program.
The program provides interns with an opportunity to gain experience working at the interface of science and public policy. Interns will participate in the development of assessments by conducting research in support of CCA’s expert panel process. The internship program is a full-time commitment of six months and will be a remote opportunity due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The internship stipend for the six-month term is $18,500.
Applicants must be recent graduates with a graduate or professional degree, or post-doctoral fellows, with a strong interest in the use of evidence for policy. HEQCO is looking for an experienced editor to provide editorial and writing expertise, services and guidance in support of the research and communications initiatives of the agency.
As a member of the communications team, the senior research editor will work alongside the research teams to ensure HEQCO reports and materials are accessible, engaging, credible, concise and in a tone and style that is easy to read. The Senior Research Editor will work closely with the research team throughout the project design and report writing processes to ensure a high standard of writing, cohesive structure and deliverable timelines are met. The role will also coordinate logistical issues for publication including translation, accessibility compliance and formatting.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is hiring graduate students!
The closing date for applying to be a Teaching Assistant Training Program Instructor for the 2021/22 academic year has been extended to April 30.
The Teaching Assistant Training Program (TATP) Instructor will be responsible for the delivery of assigned CTL programming, initially online for the Summer and early Fall, transitioning to onsite (f2f) instruction as the Fall term progresses.
Instructors will deliver a variety of sessions that focus on designing effective lectures, facilitating labs and classroom discussions, providing students with feedback, and grading best practices. Instructors will also mentor program participants during small group hands-on teaching sessions, and work with CTL educational developers to collaboratively design CTL programming.
Most instructors work approximately 60 hours per year, but the number of hours will vary depending on participant enrollment in TATP sessions.

The program will offer emerging scholars from a wide range of disciplines access to the financial support, mentorship and career development opportunities needed to build the foundation for a successful professional future.
The Provost’s Postdoctoral Fellowships for Black and Indigenous Scholars will support up to 4 successful applicants this year in any field of study. With a salary of $70,000 provided each year for a two-year term, scholars will be able to dedicate their time to pursuing a proposed project, working alongside a supervisor and other mentors, while also gaining access to guidance from faculty, students and alumni.
